Seventh Chords
- A seventh chord contains the 1 3 5 7 notes in a scale for example G major 7 chord consist of the notes G B D F#.
- The quality of the chords in a major scale of 7's is Maj 7, Min 7, Min7,Maj7,Dom7,Min7, Diminished 7.
- The quality of the chords in a minor scale of 7's is Min7, Half-diminished 7, Maj7, Min 7, Dom7, Maj7, Fully Diminished 7.
- Ways to describe 7th chords are Major, Minor, Half Diminished, Dominant and Fully diminished.
- To form a 7th chord or identify a 7th chord you have to recognize the triad first then recognize the 7th interval from the root position.
